Every Life Deserves a Second Chance.
ZU1 Foundation NP is a no-kill animal rescue shelter serving the Metro Chicago Area — saving dogs and cats through adoptions, field rescue, and community compassion.
Our Mission
"Our mission extends far beyond shelter walls."
We champion the bond between pets and people through comprehensive programs that provide safety, support, and second chances. From adoptions and field rescue to community outreach and lifesaving partnerships, each of our initiatives is designed to create a more compassionate world for animals and the people who love them.

How We Save Lives
Every program we run is built around one belief: every animal deserves safety, love, and a home.
Adoptions
We carefully match animals with loving families, ensuring every adoption is a perfect fit for both pet and person. Our process is thorough, compassionate, and built on trust.
